Formula 3D Engineering was originally formed in 2009 and was known as Eng Concepts. After merging to form Invent Design in 2012 and the successful completion of many interesting projects Eng Concepts de-merged and was re-named to Formula 3D Engineering. This name represents the company specialty of equation driver parametric 3D modelling. F3D prides itself on utilising its experience to provide efficient, simple and fast designs that are both practical and utilises the latest manufacturing and fabrication methods.

After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle Chris transferred to Mechanical and Structural design and became an in house lead designer for one of Australia’s most innovative mining equipment manufacturers Hedweld Engineering in the Hunter Valley. Chris has also worked as a Lead and Principal Designer for some of the worlds largest consultancy firms such as KBR and AECOM.

In additional to his 25 years of technical experience he is best known for his ability to conceptualise designs and he is the inventor of many products. His design capabilities range from the design of stand-alone products such as Tyre Handlers, Transmission Hoist and Mechanical Access Equipment to mechanical and structural infrastructure such as Bulk Material Handling Conveyors, Radial Stackers and industrial plants.
